ABOUT BISHOP. The Most Rt.Rev.Dr.S.M.Jayakumar

       The Founder Moderator, Bishop of ACI-SYNOD is The Most Rt.Rev.Dr.S.M.JAYAKUMAR, M.A., M.Div., D.Mus., B.D., D.Min., LLD., D.Litt., Ph.D., D.D., S.D.

Bishop Rev.Dr.S.M.Jayakumar was born at Salem on March 3rd, 1951. He obtained his undergraduate degree from the Madurai American College. He entered into the profession of Music in 1973 at Chennai. He was associating with leading film composers of India, blessed with the God given gift of music. He was called by God to the Ministry of Lord Jesus in 1977. He associated with Madras Pentecostal Church (MPA) as its music composer till 1986. He gave him great journey and new direction with landmark in 1990 when he composed music for Fr.Berchmans, for Bro. Dr.DGS Dinakaran (Jeus Calls), and Dr.Justin Prabaharan (Rainbow Churches), and for other Christian Media groups. The Music Journey with the Film Industry came to an end in the year 1995. He became a born again person on 27th December 1996, under the guidance and baptism given by the Rev Dr N Jeevanandham (Magilchi).

Upon the recommendation of the Faculty and the Board of Directors of the BIBLE UNIVERSITY OF HOLY SPIRITI, NEW JERUSALEM AND BETHLEHEM, and THE GLOBAL UNIVERSITY OF UNIQUE PROFESSIONALISM, who having thoroughly examined Bishop S.M.Jeyakumar, his anointed ministries for the past 30 years and his unique contribution to the Praise and Worship, and Soul Music, his professionalism in the Film World for some time as Joint Music Director, and his unique experience in the world of songs, and his turning point from 1996, and seeing his deeper involvement in the Word of God, recognized him as Bishop in 2006. He was consecrated as Bishop on 1st Jan 2006.

Since its founding of the Apostolic Church of India - SYNOD, the Bishop is Shepherding more than 2500 congregation and Churches, with a vision to establish more and more Churches and to tread the path of St.Paul who enriched through his life the Salvation Ministry of the Lord Jesus christ. Bishop also meets and exceeds the professional standards of Academic and Spiritual excellence. Hence he has been conferred the Degree of Doctor of Local Laws (LL.D), with all the Rights and Privileges pertaining thereto on 1st September 2009.

He was consecrated as Cardinal for International Institute of Christian Management (IICM), for Tamil Division. The SYNOD was also affliated and accredited by IICM, Florida-USA. Subsequently the Disciple Institute for Apostolic Ministers of International University consecrated the Cardinal as Patriarch on the same year. Upon the recommendation of the Degree/Doctoral Committee, and the Board of Directors of the “ACADEMY OF UNIVERSAL GLOBAL PEACE” (Organization affiliated and accredited by the United Nations European Commission-World Peace Organization and Power Ministries International USA) conferred the Degree of Doctor of Ministry in the Specialization of Music on the 6th Dec 2011

• Doctor of Divinity (D.Min.,) by Rt.Rev. Dr. Augustin Peter, the Worldwide Missions of India Trust’s Bible College on 25th May 1997.
• Consecrated as by Bishop Dr.Chelladurai the Church of Jesus Christ, Cleveland, Tennessee, USA on 18th March 2006.
• Episcopal Bishop Consecration by Bishop Dr. R.T. Paul the Indian National Apostolic Diocese, India on 12th December 2007.
• Consecration of Apostleship by the Apostle and Bishop Dr. T.S. Thangaraj, The Indian Christian Mission, on 7th September 2008.
• Doctor of Letters (D.Litt.,) by Cardinal Dr. Thomas Edmunds, The Bible University of Holy Spirit.
• Recognized and Consecrated as Bishop by The Asia International Ministries Fellowship and New Life Gems Cathedral, India on 11th August 2008.
• Consecrated as Bishop, as the first Bishop of the Apostolic Church of India-Diocese on 11th August 2008, by the Moderator Dr.M.Prakash, Synod of the Independent Churches of India.
• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.,) by Prof. Dr. Albert Jayasingh, University of Jerusalem, on 31st May 2009, at Rothenberg, Berlin, Germany.
• Consecrated as Patriarch by the Discipleship Institute for Apostolic Ministries International University by Rev.Dr. D.L. Sanchu (Registered Office: Kohima Via No.H?RS-3715 NL Gazette GAB/RS?3793 dated 6th August 2004) International Campus, New Delhi-110 017, India on 10th February 2010.
• GLOBAL CARDINAL CONSECRATION by the International Institute of Church Management Inc, Florida USA by the Patriarch Rev Dr John Williams on 6th December 2011.
• Scholar of Degrees (S.D) from Specialization in Gospel Music by the Academy of Universal Global Peace, USA on 3rd March 2012.
