History

Apostolic Church of India - DIOCESE is a legally constituted body under Christian Clergy Rite, and Traditions, which is formed to equip the independent ministers to the Episcopalian Ordination, affiliates Churches with the DIOCESE, and enables independent ministers to fulfil the pastoral duties under the religious freedom guaranteed and granted under the Indian Constitution. It is formed to authorize to constitute DIOCESE all over India, and to episcopally ordain pastors, and consecrate Bishops. It is formed to educate, train, capacitate, and recognize Christians from all walks of life, and network with other Christian and Indian Organizations to serve the nation in the spirit of Jesus of Nazareth. Apostolic Church of India - DIOCESE is legally registered with the Tamil Nadu State Government and Central Government of India, under Trusts Act, with Registration Number 2832 of 2008. It affirms the Christian Preaching of its recognized Churches and ministers, but will not interfere in the finance issues of its affiliated ministers, Churches, and DIOCESE. ACI is recognized as DIOCESE in par with other DIOCESE in India.

Our MISSION

Sensitize and recognise the unrecognized independent ministers, and independent Churches in the national integration, and provide them Episcopalian and Constitutional Recognition, such that of the Mainline Churches who are recognized and called for negotiations.

• Bring every independent ministers under the shelter of the Indian Constitution which provides freedom of religion.
• Help independent ministers and their churches fulfil their pastoral duties to the nation.
• Protect independent ministers from blames, and help them dialogue under the Constitution of India.
• Educate, train, and recognize every Christian in India serve the Lord Jesus meaningfully to serve as Christian and as citizen of India.
• Counsel and advise ministers, Churches and DIOCESE to perform their Episcopalian works in the affirmation of Indian Constitution.

First Bishop (Founder):

Bishop.Rev.Dr.S.M.Jayakumar has been consecrated according to the Episcopalian Order, and is serving the DIOCESE as its first Bishop.
